The Oxynon® Sintering Furnace features distinctive characteristics such as an ultra-high operating temperature, inert atmosphere to achieve an extremely low oxygen partial pressure, and continuous belt operation. During operation the furnace uses a high purity inert atmosphere which will protect the furnace insulation and belt, and maintain a thermochemical equilibrium with the work. In this atmosphere oxides are easily dissociated, eliminating the need to use combustible gases. The conveyor belt has a low thermal mass and can support conventional work trays directly. This replaces the conventional pusher-tray furnace which has several disadvantages such as substantial heat loss due to the extra thermal mass of the setter trays. Oxynon® Sintering Furnaces are available with an optional binder removal furnace for hydrocarbon based lubricants. |
